Humans believe in a lot of stupid things, and they do even more stupid things as a result of such beliefs.
“So, what’s the big deal?”
You might be wondering what’s wrong if somebody just has a different reality than ours.
Yes, it is normal to have lots of different opinions about life. It can create discussion and produces different kinds of art, beliefs, and people. They might have different ideas about something simply because an elder a long time ago taught them a different story to yours.
It matters. It matters a lot when it is about your own quest for knowledge and truth. Then, how do you know what is right and what is wrong?
Then, how do you chose what is right for you?
Not that easy!
In 2015 when she embarked on her journey for her first pilgrimage to Mecca ever. She came across a beautiful Prophetic supplication.
O Allah, Lord of Jibril, Mika’il and Israfil, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, You judge between Your slaves concerning wherein they differ. O Allah, guide me to the truth regarding that in which there is difference, by Your leave. Surely, You guide whomever you please to the straight path.
She realises that differences are there, by His leave.
However, not all of them are true or fair. Truth is just one.
And, not all are able to reach to that truth.
And, He guides whomever He wants to guide.
And, one has to sincerely ask for that.
