[O Allah, benefit me by that you have taught me, and teach me that which will benefit me, and increase my knowledge. Praise is to Allah in all circumstances.]Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him)
All your life you have been a good student.
You love to read, to write and to study.
To study a lot.
You might be quite disciplined in your student life.
You might have strong faith in formal education and education system.
You realise that it is good to defend your passion of studying and very assuring to go that far for your aimbitions too.
You were also ready to go that far…
To do ph.D or an M.Phil, to sit in one more exam, to get a few more certifications.
The Qur’an comes in your life.
Your perspective changes.
So, you start hating higher studies or being ambitious?
Absolutely, Not .
You stop excelling in secular studies?
Not Necessarily .
You simply stop believing in studying just for the sake of studying. You start putting the things at the right place. You start studying for the sake of enlightenment. You start making priorities with ‘what to study’ and ‘what not’ at a particular stage in this limited span of life we all have.
Your life becomes beautiful like Never-Ever before.
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:
The Messenger of Allah used to say: “Allahummanfa’ni bima’ allamtani, wa ‘allimnima yanfa’uni, wa zidni’ ilman. Wal-hamdu Lillahi ‘ala kulli hal.”
