As I was giving final touch to my packing, weighing all stuff and locking my stuff, I recalled…
I recalled that I couldn’t find time to visit one of my beloved friends. I felt bad because she told me that her mother wanted to see me before I leave. This was not the only reason why I wanted to meet her. I really wanted to see her as she she was hospitalised.
“Yalla. Let’s go quickly”, my husband said suddenly around Maghrib.
We decided to visit her finally and left.
Needless to say she was very very happy. Though she was in pain because of surgery she was constantly reminding my friend to make tea for us and to give us something to eat.
It was a very short meeting but so fulfilling.
As we were leaving, my friend’s father as always showere his blessings upon us and as a father figure gave us beautiful advices.
I just love this family the way they never forget me to remind me to be always cautious of Allaah SWT.
As we were saying good bye, he reminded me to keep my tongue moist with duas of Prophet Ayyub AS and Prophet Yunus AS. He told me many other adhkar as well. However, this time he said one more dua that I was listening for the first time. And, he emphasised good enough that I clearly noticed. He said it loud and clear almost thrice…
“I leave your religion in the care of Allaah, as well as your safety, and the last of your deeds.
May Allaah give you piety as your provision, forgive your sins, and make goodness easy for you wherever you are.”
I realised later that it was Prophetic dua from the resident’s side for the traveler.
A Dua for every occasion to make us never forgetful.
Shouldn’t I give as a traveler a dua for all those I am leaving behind…
“I leave you in the care of Allaah, as nothing is lost that is in His care.” Aameen.
Flight about to take off…
