What a chair brought home to me when I brought it home

We brought home this beautiful white chair and we lived happily ever after…

He told me to give a try and sit on the chair.
I did and fell from it.
(ooops) I mean, I fell for it.

I bought this chair a few months ago.

A few months ago, I decided to set a personal study space that could draw this slothful soul from the bed towards it. I picked a very basic study-cum-computer table with drawers to put all my ever-scattered stationery, diaries, laptop, pen-drives, files, and all other tiny-shiny stuff in one place. And, placed an old bookshelf wall to wall to complement the setting.

Voila!
Done. ‘Simple and Basic’ as I told.

What???
A Study Space Without A Chair?

Oh. Yeah.
Initially, I didn’t want any chair. All my life, I studied without a table and chair. I was always very comfortable taking the laptop in my lap (that’s why it is a laptop), making my drawings sitting on the tile-floor, reading my books in the bed, writing diaries cross-legged.

Who needs a chair?

I didn’t. Life was perfect even without a chair. However, one day I realized that I was still not writing enough even after setting my personal space. I questioned myself immediately, “Why, tell me why”.

And, the very-very shy, my work-shy heart said to me shyly, “Wish there could be a chair”.

Period. I will get a chair for myself.
So, I can easily say that I wanted to buy a chair not to comfortably sit basically but to make myself guilty enough to sit and write.

Long story short. I wanted to buy a chair and my budget was quite low. However, it was not that low.

“35 Dirhams”

I saw this very basic ‘Adde’ chair in white color in Ikea. Though, it was not the one I was looking for. Without hand rest, cushions, revolving sphere, it was not matching any of the criteria. Still, I liked it. After all, the sole purpose was to make myself guilty enough to sit and write. (Husband even promised to buy for me a very nice chair if this chair could give…. I mean…I could give the good results 🤣).

He told me to give a try and sit on the chair.
I sat and fell for it.

We brought home this beautiful white chair and we lived happily ever after ❤️.

(Just kidding) This is not the end of the story. THE STORY BEGINS NOW.

I was wondering that a chair that I bought basically for its very simple look came with a small booklet. It was the chair manual. It had all its information and instructions to assemble. I was so surprised that something as simple as this chair needed a manual for its users.
Didn’t we know for what purpose chair was?
Didn’t we know how to sit on a chair?
Was it rocket science to fix six screws in place to make the chair stand on its feet?

SubhanAllaah ❤️!
We expect a manufacturer to provide us all the details of the product we are using.
At the same time, we can not accept it from the Greatest Creator Ever to give us instructions for Its most important creation ever.

Why can not we accept God to give us instructions for how to use this life?
Why can not we accept the manual for life?

SubhanAllaah ❤️!
This 35 Dirhams chair is worthy of instructions but not this life. Irony!

People of Musa AS denied Tawra. People of Dawud AS denied the Zabur. People of Isa AS denied the Injil. And, today people of our times are denying Qur’an revealed to final Messenger Muhammad AS.

They say, “My Life My Rules”.
Even the chair is yours. The manufacturer just provides you the manual so that you do not say that you don’t know how to use it. It belonged to the manufacturer first. However, it’s your chair in your hands now. It’s your wish to use it the way you want.

You can choose to never even open the packing.
You can choose to never fix the screws in place.
You can choose to place it ‘Upside Down’ with legs up in the air.

And, you can do the same with your life too. Never read the manual and remain ‘Upside Down’.

Sisterly Yours
The Might of Pen ❤️
