Happiness Box

I was very happy.
I got this gift, a surprise gift from the eldest lady in the mosque on the last day before Ramadan. It was a ‘Ramadan Mubarak’ mug and an educational handout related to Qur’an Tajweed.

Gifts make people happy 😊. And, they make us happiest 😇 when we get them from the people we love, from the folks we admire, from the hearts we want to rule over…

This elderly lady is a very respected teacher in the mosque. However, she doesn’t teach us. She takes another batch and sits on the another corner in the mosque. Though we hardly talk to each other, we exchange smiles and greetings of salaam quite often.

When I reach mosque, no matter early or late, she is always sitting at her place.
No matter if its raining or sunny, she is there.
No matter if there is anybody or nobody around, she is reciting and reciting and reciting…
Her beautiful white face in the neat black georgette scarf beams like some pearl in its shell.

I was always admiring her secretly. It made me feel so happy that she remembered me as well when she brought something for her batch of students.
Alhamdulillaah. I felt so overwhelmed to get this from her ❤️.

I came home happy.
“See what I got”

WOW! Good.
“There is one more gift for you”, saying this husband handed over a beautiful jar in my hand.

“Happiness Box”
“Open a chit everyday and find your happiness”

SubhanAllaah ❤️!
I kept this beautiful colorful jar that husband had just got from his office on my table. Nearby, my RAMADAN MUBARAK mug was also placed.
Looking at both I was thinking ‘what a beautiful contrast!’

We do wish each other Ramadan Mubarak with beautiful messages.
We set impressive DPs and status.
We exert so much in its preparation.
Shopping. Iftar parties. Decoration. Gifts. Food. Food. Food…

This is the month when our Lord sent the ultimate happiness box for us in the form of the final scripture to be revealed for the mankind.

Still we never unlock our happiness box.
Quran that has more than 6000 verses and each verse with so many messages, is right there on our tables, sitting nicely in pretty covers on beautiful stands, looking beautiful like this pretty happiness jar.

Yes. It looks beautiful to us. We do our best too to make it look beautiful.
Do we really treat it as our happiness box?

Are we searching our happiness from the right source?

Right source is that ultimate happiness box that we had just forgot to open after placing that on table.

Ramadan Mubarak to all of you my dear readers ❤️.
Read the chits daily.
Open the happiness box.
It’s right there on your table.

Connect with the Qur’an in the month of Qur’an.

Sisterly Yours
The Might of Pen 🌹
